Raw Material

Limestone is quarried and then crushed by crushers into 30-60mm or 40-80mm.

Calcination

This is the most critical step where limestone is converted into quicklime inside a kiln. The choice of kiln is a key differentiator in lime production technology.

Quicklime Cooling & Storage

The hot quicklime discharged from the kiln is cooled rapidly by a cooler. Efficient cooling protects downstream equipment, recovers heat which can be used to preheat combustion air, and makes the lime safer and easier to handle.

A lime production line is a complete set of equipment designed to process limestone into quicklime through a high-temperature calcination process. This is a fundamental industrial process, as lime is a vital material for industries including steel making, construction, environmental protection and chemical manufacturing.

The core principle is heating limestone to a temperature between 900°C and 1200°C in a kiln, a process known as calcination. This thermal decomposition drives off carbon dioxide (CO₂), resulting in quicklime.

The final product is stored in silos and then packaged for shipment in bulk tankers or bags.
